Oda Tilset

Oda Tilset is an award winning video game sound and music designer from Norway, and she’s part of the game audio duo Noknok Audio together with her friend and colleague Martin Kvale. She’s worked on indie games like Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley, Tiny Glade, Viewfinder and many others, and the thing that inspires her the most about working with games, and especially the indie ones, is how many different types of mood she gets to explore and create. She also loves the non-linear aspect of games, and the more the different part of the sound scape interact with each other the better. Music and sound has always been important to Oda, but her musical journey really got going when she chose to play the cornet in the school band at age 7. A lot has happened since, and the instrument that gets the most attention these days is shakuhachi, but that doesn’t mean cornet and trumpet at an amateur level doesn’t make their way into her music. In fact, she loves to use both instruments she can play and can’t play in her soundtracks. The imperfections add so much character!
